First Performance Video of New Song 'Dirty Work' Released
Entire Video Filmed with 'iPhone 16 Pro'... Utilizes Slow Motion
Third 'Shot on iPhone' Campaign in Korea

Apple has pre-released a video of a new song by K-pop girl group aespa, filmed entirely on an iPhone.

Apple announced that the performance video for aespa's new song "Dirty Work," shot on the iPhone 16 Pro, was released on June 9.

This performance video marks Apple's third "Shot on iPhone" campaign produced in Korea. Previously, director Park Chan-wook's short film "Life Is But a Dream" and girl group NewJeans' "ETA" music video were also created as part of the "Shot on iPhone" campaign in Korea. All of these works were filmed using only an iPhone.

Every scene in the new video was shot with Apple's latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 16 Pro. The main parts of the video utilize 4K120 slow motion (4K resolution at 120 frames per second). Scenes of the members dancing were made more dynamic by adjusting the playback speed of high-frame-rate footage. Slow motion was also used in the finale scene featuring fireworks.

The iPhone 16 Pro model can record video in 4K Dolby Vision at 120 frames per second, which is the highest resolution and frame rate ever offered by an Apple smartphone. Users can select these options in the Camera app's "Video" or "Slo-mo" modes, and can also adjust playback speed during editing in the Photos app after filming.

Instructions for using the iPhone's 4K120 slow motion feature, as seen in the video, are available in a 30-second behind-the-scenes clip and a series of 15-second how-to videos, which can be found on the "Apple Korea" YouTube channel and Apple's global Instagram account.

The "Shot on iPhone" campaign is Apple's brand initiative that demonstrates the camera capabilities of the iPhone through real-world results. Apple has collaborated with renowned filmmakers from around the world to produce short films, including Park Chan-wook, Michel Gondry, Damien Chazelle, Peter Chan, and Jia Zhangke. All of their works created for the campaign were filmed using an iPhone camera. Most recently, Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda, who won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, released his short film "Last Scene" as part of the Shot on iPhone campaign.
