On June 9, PolarisAI announced that it had signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Experix, a company specializing in digital identity verification, to supply security solutions for the financial and public sectors.
Through this partnership, the companies plan to combine Experix's biometric authentication-based digital identity verification technology (including fingerprint recognition devices and authentication solutions) with PolarisAI's expertise in operating and maintaining information and communication technology services (ITS) for financial institutions and public agencies. Their goal is to make a full-scale entry into the AI-based public and financial security solutions market.
Experix has a strong track record of successfully providing digital identity verification services to a wide range of industries, leveraging its accumulated technology and extensive business experience in the field of biometric authentication.
PolarisAI also plans to utilize its experience in system operation and maintenance for financial institutions and public agencies to provide comprehensive collaboration, including practical field application, technical support, and joint business proposals. This strategy is expected to further strengthen PolarisAI's push into the AI business, which the company has identified as a future growth engine.
Starting with the signing of this MOU, the two companies plan to hold working-level discussions to coordinate specific supply plans and the scope of technical cooperation, and intend to solidify their partnership through a formal contract in the future.
Byun Jiwoong, Vice President of PolarisAI, stated, "This MOU is a signal for innovative change in the financial and public security markets through the convergence of AI technology and biometric authentication," adding, "We expect that the collaboration between the two companies will shine in industries that require the establishment of a safe and highly reliable security infrastructure amid the rapidly changing digital environment."
He continued, "Going forward, the two companies will create ongoing joint achievements, including the development of customized security solutions and market expansion, based on this collaboration."
Meanwhile, PolarisAI was recently incorporated into the Polaris Office Group and, together with Polaris Office?which is expanding cooperation with leading AI companies such as Naver Cloud, LG AI Research Institute, and Saltlux?is seeking to develop vertical AI specialized for various industries, thereby laying a foundation for continued growth.
