Held from June 13 to 22 under the theme "Find Summer Treasure"
Capturing demand for department store "Baekcance" during the rainy season
First introduction of experiential shopping content
On June 9, Lotte Department Store announced that it will hold a summer event themed "Find Summer Treasure" targeting the rainy season, from June 13 to June 22.
This event is an experiential shopping program that Lotte Department Store is introducing for the first time, aiming to attract demand from customers who prefer indoor activities, known as "Baekcance" (a combination of department store and vacation). During the event period, every weekend (Friday to Sunday), all Lotte Department Store locations will host a "QR Treasure Hunt" event. Customers who find QR posters hidden in 10 secret locations at each store will receive more than 15,000 treasure discount coupons per day.
By using the "QR Scan" page within the Lotte Department Store application (app) or their phone camera to scan the posters, customers can receive coupons that can be used immediately on-site, issued on a first-come, first-served basis. These include a 50% discount coupon for F&B stores (5,000 won off a 10,000 won purchase, 5,000 coupons per day), a 10% discount coupon for fashion and beauty (5,000 won off a 50,000 won purchase, 10,000 coupons per day), and special discount coupons for select products at certain stores.
The minimum purchase amount required to receive a gift certificate has also been lowered. The "In June, Starting from 60,000 Won!" event awards 3,000 L.Points for purchases of 60,000 won or more. By downloading a coupon issued daily (10,000 coupons per day) through the Lotte Department Store app, customers can participate in the event once per person, regardless of product category or payment method.
Park Sangwoo, Head of Business Strategy at Lotte Department Store, said, "As heavy rains are expected from early summer this year, we have prepared experiential shopping content that can be enjoyed comfortably indoors." He added, "We will continue to closely monitor external factors such as the weather to provide timely shopping benefits."
