Professional Maintenance Service Now Includes Gasket Cleaning

On June 8, LG Electronics announced the launch of its new "LG Dios AI Objet Collection STEM Ice Purification Refrigerator," which features enhanced subscription-based care services.


STEM is LG Electronics' direct water supply refrigerator brand, characterized by its ability to supply clean water and produce ice directly through a water line.


The new product significantly improves both hygiene management and convenience. The "Pure Fresh Filter," which now has double the capacity compared to previous models, more effectively eliminates odors inside the refrigerator. An "Auto Closing" function has also been added, allowing the door to close automatically when opened beyond a certain angle.


The artificial intelligence features have also been enhanced. "AI Fresh Care" learns the user's refrigerator usage patterns and automatically adjusts the cooling intensity. In addition, the "AI Saving Mode" optimizes compressor operation during periods of infrequent use to improve energy efficiency.

By subscribing to the service, customers receive regular professional maintenance. For the ice purification model, filters are replaced and the water line, dispenser, and exterior are inspected and cleaned every three months. For the standard model, these services are provided every twelve months.


Starting this year, the refrigerator door gasket has also been added to the maintenance checklist. Professionals clean the gasket and apply a dedicated lubricant to enhance its sealing performance.


Baek Seungtae, head of the Kitchen Solution Business Division at LG Electronics' Home Solutions Business Division, stated, "We focused on meeting customers' needs to keep food and water always fresh and clean," adding, "We aim to provide a new customer experience in which artificial intelligence and professionals work together to manage even the parts that are hard to notice or difficult to maintain."
