Anti-war Artist Criticizes "Putin Family in a Space for War Victims"
Gallery States "Cannot Confirm if She Is Putin's Daughter... No Issue with Employment"
The British daily The Times reported on June 6 (local time) that a woman in her twenties, known as the illegitimate child of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is currently working as an intern at an anti-war art space in Paris, France.
According to The Times, Elizaveta Krivonogikh (22 years old, also known as Luiza Rozova or Elizaveta Rudnova), who is believed to have been born to President Putin and his alleged mistress Svetlana Krivonogikh, is working as a student intern at Studio Albatros and L Gallery in Paris.
This information came to light after Nastia Rodionova, an anti-war artist from Russia, exposed it on social media. Rodionova criticized, "At a time when the war is ongoing, it is unacceptable for a beneficiary of the war regime to work in a space for its victims." She added, "Children do not have to bear the sins of their parents," but also stated, "I could not remain silent."
Elizaveta disappeared from public view shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, but it was later revealed by Ukrainian media and others that she has been living in Paris, France. She has used various names, including 'Luiza Rozova,' 'Liza Krivonogikh,' and 'Elizaveta Rudnova,' and is reported to have studied at art universities in Paris such as IESA and ICART. However, it appears she did not obtain a degree from ICART, as she failed to meet the required class hours.
Dmitry Dolinsky, the director of L Gallery where she is currently interning, acknowledged in an interview with Russian media that she is Svetlana's daughter and "resembles Putin." However, he drew a line, saying, "There are at least 100,000 people who look like Putin," and stated that he could not confirm whether she is Putin's biological daughter. He also emphasized, "Even if she is Putin's daughter, there is no issue with her employment itself."
President Putin married Lyudmila Aleksandrovna in 1983 and had two daughters, Maria and Katerina, before divorcing in 2014. Afterwards, there were reports that he had two sons with Olympic rhythmic gymnastics gold medalist Alina Kabaeva, but he has not officially acknowledged them.
Elizaveta's mother, Svetlana Krivonogikh, is known to have acquired significant wealth after becoming Putin's mistress while previously working as a cleaning lady. Her dramatic rise from former cleaning lady to Russian tycoon has kept her in the public eye as a member of Putin's unofficial family.
In the past, Elizaveta commented on rumors about being Putin's daughter via social media, saying, "The situation was stagnant, but now it has become radiant," and expressed gratitude for the attention her Instagram account received. However, since Russia's invasion, she has stopped her social media activities and has not appeared in public.
