Jeong Cheolwon, the mayor of Damyang County, recently met with Kim Youngrok, the governor of Jeonnam Province, to request the swift promotion of local pending projects and budget support.

Mayor Jeong explained to Governor Kim the main pending projects, including the creation of a Damyang food-specialized agro-industrial complex, the establishment of the Damyang Second General Industrial Complex, and the construction of an access road and environmental improvements around the International Meditation Center. He requested active support from Jeonnam Province and participation from Jeonnam Development Corporation.

Mayor Jeong stated, "The creation of new industrial complexes is a key driver for revitalizing the local economy," and added, "I ask for the province's attention and support so that the project can be promoted swiftly through the participation of Jeonnam Development Corporation."

He also requested support for the project, saying, "Improving the access road to the International Meditation Center and enhancing the surrounding tourism infrastructure can foster unique wellness tourism resources exclusive to Damyang."

In response, Governor Kim said, "Jeonnam Province will also share a sense of joint responsibility for the major pending projects being promoted by Damyang County and will review support measures," and added, "Let us work together, province and county, to do our best to improve the quality of life for residents and to boost local vitality."

Meanwhile, Damyang County plans to continue to seek concrete implementation measures in the future, sharing the need for mutual cooperation for regional development through ongoing communication with Jeonnam Province.
