Yecheon County Wins Excellence Award in '2025 Agricultural Food Export Policy Outstanding City and County Evaluation'

Export Achievements and Overseas Marketing Recognized
Secured 10 Million Won in Project Funding

Yecheon County in Gyeongbuk was recognized for its achievements in promoting agricultural food export policies and received the Excellence Award in the '2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Agricultural Food Export Policy Outstanding City and County Evaluation'.

With this award, the county secured a project fund of 10 million won, further strengthening the foundation for exporting local agricultural food products.

This evaluation, conducted by Gyeongsangbuk-do for 22 cities and counties in the province, comprehensively reflected export performance, establishment of export infrastructure, efforts to pioneer overseas markets, and policy participation in selecting the award-winning cities and counties.

Yecheon County achieved tangible results by actively implementing on-site support policies such as providing packaging materials for export companies, conducting overseas promotional activities, and enhancing the competitiveness of export brands.

In particular, the county received high praise for achieving approximately 25.43 million dollars in export performance last year through overseas promotional events held in countries such as France, Vietnam, and Japan, as well as through buyer invitation meetings and export consultations.

Park Wanu, Director of Agricultural Policy at Yecheon County, said, "We will make even greater efforts to contribute to increasing farm household income and revitalizing the local economy by diversifying the export of local agricultural specialties and securing stable overseas sales channels."
