Honoring the Spirits of Fallen Police Officers and Expanding Support
The Daegu Police Agency (Chief Lee Seunghyup) held a memorial ceremony at the Chung Hon Tower in Namgu, Daegu, on Memorial Day to honor the spirits of those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Chief Lee Seunghyup and the police command staff attended the event.

Afterward, at the Police Memorial for Fallen Officers in Daegu Police Citizens Park, bereaved families of fallen officers, members of the Police Development Council, and other related officials gathered to pay tribute to the noble sacrifices of the fallen police officers.
After the memorial, the Police Development Council (Chairman Lee Myungsoo) awarded a total of 6 million won in scholarships to six children of fallen police officers.
Seo Jiyeon, the president of the Daegu Bereaved Families Association and spouse of the late Inspector Jeong Yeonho, said, "I am grateful for this meaningful event honoring the sacrifices of fallen police officers, and I would also like to express my deep appreciation to the Police Development Council for providing scholarships to the children of the deceased officers."
Lee Seunghyup, Chief of the Daegu Police Agency, stated, "We will always remember the sacrifices of the nation's defenders and patriots, and do our utmost to make Daegu a safer city for its citizens."
