Applications Accepted by City and County Offices Until June 13
Up to 5 Billion Won for Consulting, Storage Facilities, and More

Jeonnam Province Recruiting Candidates for Strategic Crop Industrialization Support Project Jeollanam-do is recruiting candidates for the 2026 strategic crop industrialization support project to expand the production base of alternative crops such as field beans and corn instead of rice in paddy fields for appropriate rice production. Jeonnam Province is accepting applications for candidates for the 2026 Strategic Crop Industrialization Support Project until June 13.


The Strategic Crop Industrialization Support Project aims to improve the production and distribution conditions of key strategic crops such as field beans and corn by supporting business diversification, including education and consulting, machinery and equipment, and storage and sorting facilities.


The support amount by category is 30 million won for education and consulting, 100 million to 800 million won for machinery and equipment, and up to 5 billion won for business diversification such as storage and sorting facilities. For education and consulting, and machinery and equipment, 90% of the cost is supported by national and local funds, while for business diversification, 80% is supported.


The number of times support can be received by category is four times for education and consulting, two times for machinery and equipment, and two times for business diversification.


Eligible applicants include paddy crop complexes that cultivate alternative crops in paddy fields on more than 5 hectares through joint farming on at least 10 hectares, as well as agricultural corporations, agricultural companies, and agricultural cooperatives that operate field management entities cultivating alternative crops in paddy fields on more than 50 hectares.


Management entities wishing to apply for support should submit the project application and related documents to the relevant department of their city or county office.


Yoo Deokgyu, Director of the Food and Horticulture Division of Jeonnam Province, said, "There is a growing number of complexes aiming to achieve appropriate rice production and expand the cultivation of strategic crops such as field beans and corn, which are more profitable than rice. We hope that management entities in need of education and consulting, facilities, and equipment necessary for expanding alternative crop cultivation in paddy fields will actively participate in this public project."


Jeonnam Province is currently providing 3.1 billion won in education, consulting, machinery, and equipment support to a total of 57 corporations and local agricultural cooperatives through the 2025 Strategic Crop Industrialization Support Project. In addition, by securing its own project budget, the province is supporting 3.9 billion won in machinery and equipment to 14 specialized strategic crop (bean) production complexes, as well as 1.7 billion won for 52 rental agricultural machines for sowing and harvesting field beans in paddy field agricultural machinery rental centers in cities and counties.
