Experiential Nature and Culture Tourism Gaining Popularity in the City Center
Gangnam-gu, Seoul is launching the 'Gangnam Unique Tour,' an experiential tourism program set against the backdrop of Yangjaecheon Hwangtotgil and Samseong Sunrise Park, which have emerged as healing spots in the city center.
With the slogan "A special experience you can only enjoy in Gangnam," the Gangnam Unique Tour offers participatory tourism content designed to provide relaxation and enjoyment in daily life. On June 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the 'Picnic' program will take place at Yangjaecheon Hwangtotgil.
Yangjaecheon Hwangtotgil is a barefoot walking trail stretching about 850 meters between Yeongdong Bridge 4 and 5, equipped with foot-washing stations and rest areas, and has received enthusiastic responses from residents and tourists. On this day, participants will experience correct walking under the guidance of Choi Moonki, author of "Self-Therapy to Protect Your Body," and then enjoy a beauty class featuring massage and desserts with skin care expert Park Hyejeong.
'Starlight Yoga,' which was highly popular last year, will also return this year at Samseong Sunrise Park. The program will be held every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. until June 26, featuring yoga and pilates classes led by professional instructors, along with a variety of musical performances including jazz and classical music. This program is also scheduled to run from September to October.
The Gangnam Unique Tour is open to everyone with no age restrictions. For reservations, schedules, and more detailed information, please visit the official Gangnam-gu tourism portal, 'VISIT GANGNAM.'
Gangnam-gu Mayor Cho Sungmyung said, "The Gangnam Unique Tour is a special opportunity to experience both nature and culture in the heart of the city," adding, "I hope that through a variety of programs such as the Yangjaecheon Hwangtotgil Picnic and Starlight Yoga, both tourists and residents will find healing and enjoyment."
