Chinese state media reported on June 5 that the leaders of the United States and China, who have been engaged in a trade conflict, held a phone conversation. The call took place at the request of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Xinhua News Agency stated, "Chinese President Xi Jinping held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump on the evening of June 5."
It appears that Trump and President Xi discussed the implementation of the tariff war truce that was agreed upon in Geneva last month during this call.
