Hotter Than Average Weather Continues
On June 6, Memorial Day, most regions across the country will experience hot early summer weather, with the daytime high in Seoul reaching up to 28 degrees Celsius.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the day is expected to be mostly cloudy at times nationwide, with strong sunlight.
The morning low temperatures are forecast to range from 13 to 21 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs are expected to be between 24 and 31 degrees Celsius, which is about 1 to 3 degrees higher than the seasonal average.
The morning lows by region are as follows: Seoul 18 degrees, Incheon 18 degrees, Chuncheon 14 degrees, Gangneung 21 degrees, Daejeon 17 degrees, Daegu 16 degrees, Jeonju 17 degrees, Gwangju 17 degrees, Busan 18 degrees, and Jeju 19 degrees.
The expected daytime highs are: Seoul 28 degrees, Incheon 24 degrees, Chuncheon 29 degrees, Gangneung 31 degrees, Daejeon 29 degrees, Daegu 30 degrees, Jeonju 29 degrees, Gwangju 28 degrees, Busan 25 degrees, and Jeju 25 degrees.
An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "There will be a large temperature difference of around 15 degrees between day and night, especially in inland areas nationwide," and urged people to take care of their health.
