A presidential office official, speaking to reporters that day, said, "We need to go through the State Council process," but added, "As for the special prosecutor bills that passed the plenary session, they have garnered significant public support and are highly necessary special prosecutor investigations, as they can help clarify the process of ending the insurrection and identify various issues of the Yoon Suk Yeol administration."
The three major special prosecutor bills were passed with 194 votes in favor, 3 against, and 1 abstention, with support from the Democratic Party of Korea, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, the Progressive Party, the Basic Income Party, the Social Democratic Party, independent lawmakers with pro-ruling party tendencies, and the Reform Party.
