Yeoju City Holds June Monthly Assembly
Commendations for Contributors to Regional Development and Sharing of Tourism Achievements
Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chungwoo) announced on June 5 that it held the June monthly assembly on the 2nd at the city hall's main conference room, with about 130 public officials in attendance.

The assembly began with a promotional video for the Namhangang Suspension Bridge, followed by the presentation of the Governor's Award to the top-performing institution and outstanding public officials in non-tax revenue management for the 2024 fiscal year. The mayor also presented awards to contributors to Yeoju's development, including those involved in the 37th Yeoju Ceramic Festival, the 2025 Ssarisansan Festival, the 2025 Year of Tourism, and the Namhangang Suspension Bridge project.
Mayor Lee Chungwoo congratulated the award recipients and said, "I deeply appreciate the efforts of all public officials who have achieved these results."
He continued, "On May 1, the proclamation ceremony for the '2025 Year of Tourism in Yeoju,' the opening ceremony for the Namhangang Suspension Bridge, and the 37th Yeoju Ceramic Festival were all held successfully. In particular, the ceramic festival recorded a major achievement, attracting about 1,168,000 visitors."
Mayor Lee also expressed his gratitude to the staff who participated in the voting and ballot counting for the 21st presidential election held on June 3, and urged everyone to do their utmost to ensure fair and safe election management until the end.
Mayor Lee concluded the assembly by saying, "June 6, Memorial Day, is a day to honor the noble sacrifices of our fallen patriots and heroes. I hope you will take time to remember them with reverence. The 74th first regular session of the Yeoju City Council, starting June 5, will address key agenda items such as the supplementary budget bill and the administrative affairs audit. Please make thorough preparations and work hard for the development of Yeoju and the welfare of its citizens."
