Four Officetel Buildings with 775 Units Ranging from 53 to 185 Square Meters
Rosewood Seoul Makes Its Korean Debut Through The Parkside Seoul
Hotel Community Facilities to Be Operated Directly by Rosewood
The high-end officetel 'The Parkside Suite,' part of the mixed-use development project The Parkside Seoul, which is being built on the site of the United Nations Command in Seoul?often referred to as the city's last prime land?will begin sales later this month.
The Parkside Seoul is a large-scale complex being developed on a 44,935-square-meter site at 22-34 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The complex will consist of 11 buildings with 7 basement levels and 20 above-ground floors. The project is being developed by Yongsan Eleven, a subsidiary of Eleven Construction, with Hyundai Engineering & Construction serving as the main contractor.
The Parkside Seoul is a mixed-use development project that combines residential, hotel, retail, office, cultural, and leisure functions, including the high-end officetel 'The Parkside Suite.' It proposes a lifestyle-based urban complex that simultaneously realizes residential living and urban culture in the heart of Seoul.
The 'Parkside Suite' being offered for sale will consist of four buildings, with 775 units ranging from 53 to 185 square meters in exclusive area. It is a high-end officetel featuring innovative floor plans and community spaces operated directly by Rosewood Seoul.
The exclusive amenity space for Parkside Suite residents, 'The Parkside Club by Rosewood Seoul,' will be operated directly by Rosewood Seoul, located within the complex. It will offer a variety of services, including a club lounge, private dining rooms, and a hydrotherapy pool. The space was designed by Conran and Partners, a leading British design house.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, which operates hotels, resorts, and residences, will make its debut in Korea through The Parkside Seoul. It will directly operate not only the hotel within The Parkside Seoul but also the officetel community spaces. 'Rosewood Seoul,' scheduled to open in 2027, will feature 250 guest rooms, fine dining restaurants, large-scale banquet halls, and the wellness space 'Asaya.'
The hotel, retail, and cultural facilities within The Parkside Seoul will each have independent functions, while also being organically connected to the residential component. The project aims to establish itself as a future urban space in Seoul, similar to Rockefeller Center in New York or Azabudai Hills in Tokyo.
Within the complex, a high-end commercial facility called 'The Parkside Mall,' spanning approximately 39,000㎡ and operated by a major distributor, will be developed. It will serve as a central hub for urban culture, integrating gourmet dining, shopping, and lifestyle content.
A pedestrian-oriented street, 'The Parkside Way,' stretching a total length of 330 meters through the center of the complex, will also be created. The landscape design is being handled by James Corner Field Operations (JCFO), the firm responsible for New York’s High Line. This street will connect directly to Itaewon and will feature internationally renowned galleries, cultural content, and luxury brand shops. It is set to become a vibrant, urban promenade rarely seen in Seoul.
The 'Art & Culture Space,' where exhibitions and performances coexist, and the open plaza 'UN Plaza' are expected to grow into leading cultural and artistic clusters representing Seoul in the future.
The Parkside Seoul boasts an excellent location, situated across from the planned Yongsan Park and near Noksapyeong Station on Line 6. It is also expected to generate synergy with large-scale urban development sites such as Hannam New Town, Susong Site, Camp Kim, and Yongsan Maintenance Depot. Alongside the park development of the Yongsan US military base, The Parkside Seoul is projected to become a new residential and cultural hub connecting Namsan and the Han River.
A representative from The Parkside Seoul stated, "Owning The Parkside Seoul is not simply about possessing a single generation, but about fully experiencing an entire universe," adding, "With a determination to reinvent the center of Seoul, we will create a world-class space where residential, cultural, artistic, business, and hotel functions are harmoniously integrated."
