Launch of "Biolive Killfat Diet Probiotics"
Contains Proprietary Fat-Reducing Functional Probiotics "Killfat" Developed In-House
On June 5, hy announced the launch of "Biolive Killfat Diet Probiotics," a multifunctional product that may help reduce body fat and improve gut health.
"Biolive" is a premium probiotics brand launched by hy in January. Through the release of this new product, hy plans to continue expanding its product lineup with a focus on functionality and to further solidify its leading position in the market.
The core of Biolive Killfat is a proprietary body fat-reducing functional probiotic complex (HY7601 + KY1032) developed by hy. Derived from kimchi strains, this complex has been recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its efficacy in reducing body fat. Human clinical trials confirmed significant improvements across ten indicators, including body weight, body mass index, subcutaneous fat area, body fat percentage, and body fat mass.
hy has demonstrated the safety of this ingredient by obtaining New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) registration and Self-GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Currently, it is supplied as a key business-to-business (B2B) ingredient to multiple domestic partner companies. In addition, the product contains the patented proprietary strain "HY8002," which further enhances gut environment improvement. HY8002 promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria and suppresses harmful bacteria, thereby supporting improved gut health and smoother bowel movements.
The new product comes in ultra-small capsules measuring 1.4 cm, making it easy for anyone to consume. Taking two capsules per day guarantees 11 billion CFU. A container specifically designed for probiotics is used to further ensure storage safety. Kwon Chanwoo, Brand Manager of hy's Health Functional Food CM Team, commented, "Biolive Killfat Diet Probiotics is a product that combines hy's 55 years of research expertise with its proprietary functional ingredient development capabilities. We recommend it to those seeking sustainable weight management, as it enables both body fat reduction and gut health improvement, rather than just temporary weight loss."
