On June 5, Samil PwC announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Social Investment, an impact investment firm and public interest foundation, to support startups and companies in their growth stages.
For the past 12 years, Korea Social Investment has invested in startups and social innovation organizations that address social issues, providing acceleration and ESG consulting services. The company has particular strengths in investment and acceleration in the climate tech, social services, and agri-food sectors, and has executed a cumulative total of 69.8 billion KRW in impact investments to date, including loans, equity investments, and grants.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to actively collaborate on: jointly planning and operating management support and educational programs for Korea Social Investment's current and prospective portfolio companies; providing integrated management support services for startups; and offering tailored consulting and support for fundraising and exits (investment recovery) according to each company's stage of growth.
Samil PwC supports the entire process from early-stage startup to growth, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), domestic and overseas listings, and exit, through its proprietary startup support platform "Unicorn Platform" and its expert network "Unicorn Friends." Through this collaboration, the company aims to help portfolio companies establish more stable management systems and achieve sustainable growth.
