"2025 Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition" to Be Held on July 2 Exhibition scene of the 2024 Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference. Korea Wind Energy Industry Association

The Korea Wind Energy Industry Association (Chairman Kim Hyungkeun) announced on June 4 that it will host the "2025 Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition" at BEXCO in Busan from July 2 to 3.


This event, which will feature both corporate exhibitions and a conference under the theme of the offshore wind supply chain, is organized by the Korea Wind Energy Industry Association and supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Energy Agency, Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association, and Busan Tourism MICE Promotion Agency.


In addition, leading domestic developers and manufacturers in the wind power industry?including Bada Energy, Nakwol Offshore Wind, CIP, Vena Energy, Doosan Enerbility, Equinor, REW, SRE, LCI, K-BETS, Jeonnam Development Corporation, and Taihan Electric Wire?will participate as event sponsors.


This year’s exhibition will feature a total of 43 companies operating 120 booths, and approximately 2,000 visitors are expected to attend. The scale of the event has more than doubled in all aspects compared to the previous year.


The conference will cover timely topics, including a forum on the enactment of the enforcement ordinance for the Offshore Wind Special Act, which passed the National Assembly in February; strategies for establishing a comprehensive system to foster the offshore wind industry; the potential of Korea’s wind power industry as a global offshore wind supply chain hub; solidarity and development strategies for fostering Asia’s offshore wind industry; issues related to large-scale offshore wind tenders and the introduction of new bidding systems; the current state and short- and long-term responses for global wind power financing following the launch of the Trump administration in the United States; and the creation of port-centered offshore wind industrial clusters and the future of local regions.


At the seminar, major supply chain companies such as Bada Energy, Doosan Enerbility, K-BETS, Myungwoon Industrial Development, Windtree, and Samhae ENC will directly present and explain their technological capabilities. The industry tour on July 4 will provide a paid opportunity to visit SK Oceanplant, a substructure manufacturing company, and Geoview, a marine exploration specialist.


Visitors can register for free admission on the official website until June 20. However, on-site registration on the day of the event will require a paid ticket (10,000 KRW).


Vice Chairman Sung Jinki of the Wind Energy Association stated, "Through this conference, which addresses the most sensitive current issues, we expect to exchange insights not only on offshore wind power generation but also with related industries."
