Cheonju Seongsam Hospital Donates 10 Million Won for Community Support
Collaboration Aims to Strengthen Welfare Services for Vulnerable Groups
Gyeongsan City, Cheonju Seongsam Hospital, and the Gyeongsan City Community Security Council have joined hands to expand community welfare services.

At the signing ceremony, more than 10 officials attended, including Gyeongsan Mayor Cho Hyunil, Cheonju Seongsam Hospital Director Yoo Seongsu, and Gyeongsan City Community Security Council Private Chairperson Jeong Insuk. Through this agreement, the three organizations have decided to divide their respective roles and continue practical cooperation in community welfare.
In particular, Cheonju Seongsam Hospital donated 10 million won to address welfare blind spots. The donation will be used to support horticultural therapy and smart device education for low-income seniors, and is expected to contribute to emotional stability and bridging the digital divide.
In addition, Lee Jinok, Head of the Social Work Team at Cheonju Seongsam Hospital, is scheduled to be appointed as a member of the working-level council of the Gyeongsan City Community Security Council, serving as a link for public-private welfare cooperation and sharing voices from the field.
Under this agreement, Gyeongsan City will provide administrative support and identify welfare recipients; Cheonju Seongsam Hospital will engage in social contribution activities, including donations, and participate in public-private partnership projects; and the Gyeongsan City Community Security Council will be responsible for connecting private resources and operating projects. The three organizations plan to continue working together to build a robust community welfare safety net.
Mayor Cho Hyunil said, "I hope this collaboration between the public and private sectors will help reduce welfare blind spots and provide much-needed support throughout the community."
