Public Office Becomes a Gallery... Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority Launches Young Artists' Artwork Subscription

Young Local Artist Son Jimin Exhibits 10 Works from the "Brave New World Series"

The public office has now made it possible for visitors to appreciate the works of young artists.

The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Seongho) announced on June 4 that it will be exhibiting works by local young artist Son Jimin within its office building from June 2 until August 1.

Having participated in the Busan Cultural Foundation's "2025 Young Artists' Artwork Subscription Project," the authority plans to sequentially showcase works by a total of three young artists until March next year.

The first exhibitor, Son Jimin, is presenting ten photographic works, including the "Brave New World Series" and the "Temperature of Memory Series." Son has continued to produce works characterized by narrative imagery and striking color, and is active in various fields such as publishing, exhibitions, and corporate collaborations.

The following exhibitions will feature artist Leeung (Lee Eunji) from August 11, and artist Jeong Jaeun from December 8.

Commissioner Park Seongho stated, "I hope this project, carried out in collaboration with young artists, will serve as an opportunity to invigorate the local arts ecosystem."
