Gwangju Bank announced on June 4 that it recently held a special lecture for the "Hope Blossoms Volunteer Group," which is composed of low-income college students and young adults preparing for independence in the region.
For this lecture, Gwangju Bank invited Jungwook Lee, a national paper airplane champion and motivational speaker, who shared an honest story on the theme of "challenge, passion, and experiences of recovery." In addition, Gwangju Bank employees participated as mentors, engaging in open Q&A sessions with the young attendees and providing practical advice and heartfelt encouragement, creating a warm space for communication.
One member of the volunteer group who attended the event said, "Today's lecture made me reflect on my own potential, and the sincere support and mentoring gave me great strength."
The "Hope Blossoms Volunteer Group" is a representative social contribution program by Gwangju Bank, designed to support young people and grow together with the local community. Low-income college students and young adults preparing for independence participate in volunteer activities at local children's centers, while Gwangju Bank provides scholarships and various growth opportunities to help them build a foundation for independence.
A Gwangju Bank official stated, "We will continue to expand various educational and welfare support programs so that young people can grow together with the local community and establish a healthy foundation for independence," and added, "We will further strengthen our efforts to practice warm finance that supports sustainable regional development and the dreams of young people."
