"Lee Junseok, One of the Biggest Beneficiaries of This Election"

Woo Sangho, former lawmaker and co-chairman of the Democratic Party's election committee, analyzed that Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, performed remarkably well in this presidential election and has strengthened both his role as a potential casting vote and his political stature for the future.
On June 4, during an appearance on YTN Radio's 'News Fighting,' former emergency committee chairman Woo stated, "While those in the Lee Junseok camp may feel some disappointment, in my view, Lee Junseok is one of the biggest beneficiaries of this election." He added, "It is not easy for a third-party candidate to complete the race, and especially, achieving more than 8% of the vote is nearly impossible. So, even this level of performance is truly remarkable."
He further commented, "If there had not been a major mistake during the third TV debate, it might have been possible for him to reach close to 10% of the vote," and added, "I hope this serves as an opportunity for Lee to carefully reflect on his shortcomings."
He also shared his thoughts on the reorganization of the opposition political landscape. Woo stated, "If the People Power Party pursues a political realignment centered on so-called rational conservatives, then naturally, various forms of alliances and coalitions with Lee Junseok will be discussed." He continued, "However, if pro-Yoon lawmakers simply maintain their grip on power, it will be difficult for Lee Junseok to join them."
In conclusion, he said, "However, looking at the bigger picture, since Lee Junseok has received support from nearly 9% of voters, I believe his role as a casting vote will be more than sufficient going forward."
