Kim Taeheum, Governor of Chungnam Province, emphasized on the 4th regarding the change of administration, "Let us not hesitate or waver, and continue to do our work as we have been doing."


At a department and bureau chiefs meeting held in the provincial government main conference room that day, Governor Kim stated, "When it comes to political matters or issues of right and wrong, I, as the governor, will step forward," and added, "All of you should continue to work diligently as you have been, without wavering."


He continued, "There may be various concerns and worries, but there are also areas where we are starting anew, so there are expectations for the future," and said, "We will demonstrate our abilities within the bigger framework, not in the political sphere. Do not be concerned."


Regarding administrative work at the provincial government, he said, "With the first half of the year ending and the second half beginning, this is a turning point," and requested, "As the Ministry of Economy and Finance begins budget reviews for each department, please do your utmost to ensure that the matters we need to coordinate with each ministry are properly reflected."


Meanwhile, President Lee Jaemyung was elected in the 21st presidential election held on June 3, and began his term at 6:21 a.m. that day.


President Lee held his inauguration ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on the same day at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul. The event was attended by approximately 500 people, including the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the President of the Constitutional Court, the Prime Minister, the Chairperson of the National Election Commission, key officials from major political parties, metropolitan mayors and governors from across the country, and foreign ambassadors to Korea.


Regarding his absence from President Lee's inauguration ceremony, Governor Kim said, "They told me not to come anymore."
