[Breaking] President Lee Nominates Minseok Kim as New Prime Minister... On the 4th, President Jae Myung Lee nominated lawmaker Minseok Kim as the candidate for Prime Minister.


At the presidential office briefing room on the same day, President Lee personally explained the appointment, stating, "Lawmaker Minseok Kim is an individual with extensive legislative experience, strong capabilities in livelihood policy, an international perspective, and the political ability to promote integration. He is the right person to lead the country through crises and to restore the people's economy."


President Lee also announced the nomination of former Minister of Unification Jongseok Lee as the candidate for Director of the National Intelligence Service, and the appointment of lawmaker Hoonshik Kang as Chief Presidential Secretary. Lawmaker Seongrak Wi was appointed as Chief of the National Security Office, and former Army General Inkwon Hwang will serve as Chief of Presidential Security. The spokesperson will be lawmaker Yoojeong Kang.
