Eight Lectures Focused on Alternative Investments
Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), the sovereign wealth fund, is launching a program to train overseas investment professionals with a focus on alternative investments.
On the 4th, KIC announced that it had held the first lecture of this 'International Finance Academy.' The program is designed to train overseas investment experts from major domestic investment institutions and will be held eight times each in the first and second half of this year.
The International Finance Academy for the first half of the year will cover a wide range of topics, including the current state and outlook of the U.S. market, global exchange-traded fund (ETF) investment strategies, artificial intelligence (AI) trends, venture capital (VC) investment, private debt, and infrastructure, all related to alternative assets. The faculty consists of experts from each field, including investment managers from global asset management firms and KIC's own investment professionals.
Park Ilyoung, CEO of KIC, stated, "Over the past 20 years, we have accumulated investment capabilities and networks by investing in various asset classes and strategies in the global financial market," and added, "Through the International Finance Academy lectures, we aim to strengthen the overseas investment capabilities of domestic financial institutions and contribute to enhancing their international competitiveness."
