Multicultural Families, International Students, and Hanbok Influencers
Coming Together on a Cultural Stage Connecting the Local Community and the World
Busan Urban Corporation's Arpina (President Shin Changho) announced that it held the event 'Busan Multicultural Arpina!' on May 31, 2025, to promote multicultural exchange and traditional cultural experiences.
This event, held for the second time following last year, brought together multicultural families, international students, and Hanbok influencers to share the beauty of Hanbok and foster greater understanding of cultural diversity.
The event featured a variety of programs, including a Hanbok influencer contest runway, Hanbok Fashion Week SS fashion show, talk concert, and celebratory performances. In particular, international students and multicultural families drew attention by walking the runway dressed in Hanbok themselves.
At the 'Jeontong Haebom' market, held as a side event, traditional accessories and Hanbok were exhibited and sold, and programs were provided for visitors to participate directly, raising interest in traditional culture.
This event was co-hosted with Han-Mi-Nyeo (Hanbok-e Michin Yeoja), a Hanbok cultural content company. CEO Yoo Mina said, "It was a special time where people of various nationalities and cultures became one through Hanbok," adding, "We will continue to offer a variety of activities so that Hanbok can be enjoyed in everyday life."
President Shin Changho stated, "Through this event, which blended tradition and multiculturalism, young people from around the world had a meaningful opportunity to understand and communicate with each other's cultures," and added, "We will continue to promote cultural sharing events in collaboration with the local community."
