Communicating with 130,000 Subscribers Across Six City Channels
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held the 6th Supporters Non-Face-to-Face Launch Ceremony on June 2, where the new supporters will serve as messengers to promote Yangsan and communicate with citizens through social network services (SNS).
At the launch ceremony, 10 individuals selected as supporters attended and took their first steps by sharing their plans and discussing the direction of their future activities.
The city held an open recruitment from May 7 to May 16, ultimately selecting 10 citizens with creative ideas and content production skills. The group is composed of citizens from a wide range of age groups, from their 20s to their 50s.
The selected supporters will, over the next year, deliver news on various topics such as municipal administration, tourism, and culture from the perspective of citizens. The content they produce will be featured on Yangsan City's official blog and other SNS channels.
Jo Youngjong, the communication officer, stated, "The stories shared by citizens in their daily lives are the true promotional content of Yangsan. I hope that the beauty, flavors, and unique charms of Yangsan will be widely shared across the country."
The city plans to provide regular training to strengthen the supporters' content creation capabilities, and will select outstanding supporters based on their performance, aiming for more substantial and effective operations.
