"Why Concede?" "It's Election Fraud"... Some Supporters Shout and Hurl Abusive Language at Kim Moonsoo Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, is leaving the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, after concluding a press conference conceding the presidential election on the 4th.

Kim also said, "I will never forget the passionate support the people have given me," and added, "I am grateful for the dedication of the party members who elected me and ran alongside me." He concluded, "The Republic of Korea has always made great progress through the power of its people, no matter what crisis it faces. I sincerely thank the people for the overwhelming support you have given to someone as lacking as myself." After reading his statement, Kim shook hands with party officials and supporters present at the headquarters before leaving the building.

However, some supporters gathered in front of the headquarters protested vehemently, chanting slogans such as "It was a fraudulent election," "It was definitely rigged," and "Refuse to concede the presidential election." As Kim appeared outside the building, shouts erupted, including "Who are you to concede?" "Withdraw your concession," "We can never accept this," "What makes you so confident?" and "Is this even a country?"

A man wearing a sign that read "Vote Counting Observer" repeatedly shouted, "Kim Moonsoo is a pro-China traitor," while a woman pointed at the headquarters and said, "People Power Party lawmakers, you’ll all go down too." As Kim left the scene in a black car, supporters continued to shout, "Where do you think you’re going!" and hurled further criticism. They also directed abusive language at nearby police officers, yelling slurs such as "fake cop" and other profanities.

Meanwhile, at around 6 a.m. on June 4, the National Election Commission held a full committee meeting and officially confirmed Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party candidate, as the president-elect based on the results of the 21st presidential election. President-elect Lee won the election with 49.42% of the vote (17,287,513 votes), the highest number of votes in history. The gap between Lee and Kim (41.15%, 14,395,639 votes) was 2,891,874 votes. President-elect Lee is expected to take the oath of office and deliver his inaugural address at the National Assembly later that morning.
