Various Customized Programs for Youth

Geumcheon District in Seoul will hold an integrated opening ceremony for the 'Seoul Youth Center Geumcheon Cheongchun Building' at 3:00 p.m. on June 5.

This year, the 'Seoul Youth Center Geumcheon', whose operations were transferred from Seoul Metropolitan Government, and the existing Geumcheon District 'Cheongchun Building' will be integrated into a single youth activity space. The aim is to resolve administrative dualization and functional overlap, and to establish an efficient youth support system.

With this integration, youth activity spaces will be established in each region, including Gasan-dong and Doksan-dong, improving accessibility and convenience for users. The 'Seoul Youth Center Geumcheon' in Gasan-dong will provide comprehensive youth policy consultations and community support services through facilities such as counseling rooms, seminar rooms, and a community lounge. The 'Cheongchun Building' in Doksan-dong will focus on operating local-based projects and youth challenge support programs through key facilities such as a community hall and shared kitchen.

The second part of the opening ceremony, which will take place at 7:00 p.m. on the same day, will feature a talk concert for young people called 'Cheongpil Friends PARTY'. 'Cheongpil Friends' means 'Friends of Cheongchun Building', and the event will serve as a venue for all young people who have been connected with Cheongchun Building to gather, communicate, and interact.

Geumcheon District operates a variety of customized youth support programs, including the youth sports support project 'Physical 100', single-person household meal gatherings 'Norangsiktak·Choroksiktak', youth community projects 'Doit Circle·Doit Community', and the 'Challenge University' program for long-term unemployed or job-seeking youth.

Yuseong Hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon District, stated, "The integration of Seoul Youth Center Geumcheon and Cheongchun Building is not simply a combination of functions and spaces, but a transformation into an integrated platform that connects policy, space, and people. We will continue to provide support so that it can become a regional hub that brings about real changes in the lives of young people."
