Siheung City has ranked first for six consecutive years in Gyeonggi Province's evaluation of women's employment projects. On June 4, the city announced that it had secured the top overall position in the "2024 Women's New Employment Center Evaluation" conducted by Gyeonggi Province.
This evaluation comprehensively analyzed ten indicators across 27 Women's New Employment Centers in Gyeonggi Province, including job placement and entrepreneurship performance, achievement rate of regular employment placement goals, achievement rate of job seeker discovery goals, the New Employment Women's Internship Program, post-management support projects, and province-specific specialized projects.
The city explained that the Siheung Women's New Employment Support Headquarters received high marks in all areas of the evaluation and was selected as the best center. Established in 2006, the Siheung Women's New Employment Support Headquarters serves as a key institution for supporting the economic participation of women whose careers have been interrupted. Each year, it provides thousands of women with customized employment support, vocational training, in-depth counseling, and accompanied job interviews.
Women interested in employment or vocational training can receive counseling by contacting the Siheung Women's New Employment Support Headquarters located within the "Siheung Employment Welfare+ Center" in front of Jeongwang Station.
Park Gunho, head of Siheung City's Job Management Division, stated, "We will continue to work with the local community to support more women in achieving a balance between work and life and building sustainable careers."
