The 'Welfare Compass QR' is a service that allows users to conveniently access the 'Happy Yongsan Welfare Guide', provided twice a month, and the 'Yongsan Safe Welfare Calendar', which contains monthly welfare schedules, via their smartphones. The guide includes contact information for welfare institutions in Yongsangu, information on reduction programs, and mandatory welfare reporting requirements. The calendar features practical information such as benefit payment dates, influenza vaccination schedules, and services for the prevention of solitary deaths.
This service significantly enhances access to welfare information, especially for generations familiar with smartphones, and plays an important role in helping new residents settle into the local community. Yongsangu has distributed the QR code image to welfare institutions and local community centers, and also posted it on its website. In addition, 2,000 printed stickers have been distributed to 16 neighborhoods to support digitally vulnerable groups.
The district expects that the QR-based welfare information system will improve the welfare experience for new residents and reduce repetitive, simple civil complaints. In particular, the 'Yongsan Safe Welfare Calendar', which was previously distributed only once in December, can now be accessed via mobile devices throughout the year, which is expected to further increase satisfaction among new residents.
Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsangu, stated, "We will continue to utilize smart technologies such as QR codes to ensure that everyone can easily access welfare information," adding, "We will establish our status as a leading district in digital welfare services."
