Cheon Haram on Lee Junseok’s 7% Exit Poll: "Still Proud... Preparing for Local Elections"

Cheon Haram, Standing Chief Election Committee Chair of the Reform New Party, stated on June 3, following the terrestrial broadcasters’ exit poll indicating that Lee Junseok, the Reform New Party’s presidential candidate, had secured a vote share in the 7% range, "Even so, I am proud of candidate Lee Junseok. From now on, we will devote ourselves to preparing for the local elections."

Immediately after the exit poll results from the three terrestrial broadcasters were announced that evening, Cheon said, "I am truly proud of and grateful to every voter who chose candidate Lee Junseok, overcoming the psychology of avoiding wasted votes and habitual voting patterns."

Cheon emphasized, "Compared to the two major parties, we were overwhelmingly disadvantaged in terms of funding and organization, but we completed this race splendidly, relying only on the people." He added, "Candidate Lee did not lie to the people. I believe he personally demonstrated to the public what it means to uphold conviction and principles, rather than making choices based on political engineering."
