Mungyeong City Selects Eight "Yes Mungyeong Excellent Customer Service Businesses" for the First Half of the Year, Launches Kindness Culture Initiative

Enhancing Citizen Satisfaction
Strengthening Local Service Competitiveness Expected

Mungyeong City, North Gyeongsang Province, announced on June 3 that it presented plaques of commendation and certification signs to eight businesses that provided friendly service to citizens and tourists, designating them as "Yes Mungyeong Excellent Customer Service Businesses for the First Half of 2025."

The city stated that it plans to actively promote the spread of a culture of kindness, using this designation as an opportunity.


The eight selected businesses include three restaurants, two beauty salons, one barbershop, and two lodging establishments.


By business type, the awardees are as follows: Juhyungine Beolgyo Kkomak Jeongsik (Kang Siwhan), Daheung Sutbul (Kim Jungjin), Cafe Jamong (Yoo Jeongsu), Chocolate Beauty Salon (Kim Heejong), Maepsi Hair (Shin Myeongja), Daegu Barbershop (Kim Yonggwan), Daedeokjang Inn (Song Byeongcheol), and G Motel (Park Jinhyun).


"Yes Mungyeong Excellent Customer Service Businesses" are selected through on-site evaluations based on recommendations from the heads of food and public hygiene-related organizations and local township and district chiefs, with assessment criteria including customer service, convenience facilities, and hygiene management standards for each business type.


The city designates excellent customer service businesses twice a year, in the first and second halves, and provides various incentives to the selected businesses, including certification signs, administrative support, and priority exposure in city promotional materials.


Shin Hyunguk, Mayor of Mungyeong, stated, "Kindness is a key factor in enhancing the city's image and tourism competitiveness," and added, "I hope that local business owners will continue to join forces in making Mungyeong a city known for its friendliness."


Mungyeong City plans to continue creating a citizen-centered service environment by strengthening education, consulting, and promotional activities related to friendly service in the future.
