In particular, more than 150 global influencers will participate, experiencing the medical services of each hospital and clinic and sharing their experiences in real time with millions of social network service (SNS) followers. This is expected to widely promote Seoul’s advanced medical technology and the appeal of K-beauty. Beyond simple experiences, the event will encourage collaboration and mutual growth between influencers, hospitals, clinics, and companies, and is expected to contribute to enhancing global trust in K-brands.

Kim Jinguk, president of the Korea Medical Tourism Promotion Association, emphasized, "The fusion of K-medical and K-beauty goes beyond simple industrial value, representing a new platform for global exchange based on culture and technology. Through this Medicon Festival, we aim to imprint the excellence of Korean medical care on the world and to build a medical tourism ecosystem where influencers, hospitals, clinics, and companies can thrive together."

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the number of foreign patients who visited Korea for medical treatment last year reached a record high of 1,171,523, a 93.2% increase compared to the previous year. The main medical departments were dermatology (25.4%), internal medicine (19.4%), plastic surgery (12.7%), health screening medicine (8.3%), obstetrics and gynecology (4.6%), orthopedics (4.3%), and ophthalmology (2.4%), clearly reflecting patient demand for both beauty and health. In particular, patients from China, Japan, the United States, Russia, Vietnam, and Thailand accounted for more than 80% of the total, with demand in the Northeast and Southeast Asian markets continuing to rise.
