Park Chan-dae, the Democratic Party's chief campaign manager, said at a meeting held at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the morning of the election, "In today's election, which is being held because of Yoon Seok-yeol's insurrection, I ask you to restore democracy and constitutional order, which were destroyed by the insurrection, through your votes."
Kim Kyung-soo, another chief campaign manager, also stated, "Please prove through your votes that the Republic of Korea is still a country of hope," and emphasized, "With your precious vote, please open the door to a new Korea."
Yoon Yeo-joon, the chief campaign manager, addressed suspicions of election fraud raised by some, saying, "When those who lost the election cannot accept that the people have turned away from them and instead fall into delusions of election fraud to incite their supporters, it is difficult for democracy to progress." He added, "Everyone must humbly accept the solemn choice of the people."
The People Power Party also expressed confidence in victory and appealed for voter participation.
Yang Hyang-ja, co-campaign manager of the People Power Party, said on BBS Radio on the same day, "As candidate Kim Moon-soo is closely trailing candidate Lee Jae Myung, we have entered the period when opinion polls are prohibited," and predicted, "We expect a golden cross."
She said, "It seems the results will be very close, which is why every single vote is precious." Yang also commented on the failed unification with Lee Jun-seok, the candidate of the Reform Party, saying, "We actually consider this to be better," and explained, "We believe the People Power Party can win without unification."
Hwang Woo-yeo, another co-campaign manager, said on MBC Radio, "This time, the election appears to be a contest not between parties, but between candidates," and predicted, "The people will judge the character of each candidate."
Shin Dong-wook, the chief spokesperson, also said on SBS Radio, "Voting is the most fundamental right and duty that sustains our democracy," and emphasized, "Please make sure to vote and elect a president who reflects the will of the people and possesses democratic legitimacy."
