Filming an Election Encouragement Video
in Celebration of Deaf Day

Jin Gyohoon, Mayor of Gangseo District, Seoul, encouraged voter participation and emphasized the importance of the election ahead of the 21st presidential election's main voting day on June 2.

On the afternoon of the same day, Mayor Jin filmed an election encouragement video in his office with officials from the Gangseo District branch of the Seoul Deaf Association. In the video, Mayor Jin used sign language to say, "Hello, I am Jin Gyohoon, Mayor of Gangseo District. Congratulations on Deaf Day, June 3. Please make sure to vote on election day. I love you," urging participation in the vote.


The voting encouragement video, filmed by Mayor Jin with members of the deaf community, will be posted on his personal Instagram and Facebook accounts. Meanwhile, prior to filming, a communication session was held to listen to on-site inconveniences in celebration of Deaf Day on the 3rd.


Mayor Jin stated, "June 3, the main voting day, is also Deaf Day," and added, "I will reflect once again on the significance of this commemorative day, carefully consider the suggestions raised, and strive to make Gangseo a more convenient place for the deaf community."
