He also emphasized, "We must strictly uphold the political neutrality of public officials and ensure fairness and trust by operating in an orderly manner on election day."
Mayor Lee personally went out to the streets to lead a campaign encouraging voter participation. He visited local high schools to explain the meaning and importance of voting to first-time youth voters and urged them to participate.
At the meeting, practical support measures were discussed, including strengthening cooperation with the election commission, managing quarantine and safety at polling and counting stations, responding to traffic and congestion situations, and inspecting polling station operations. The district also explored various promotional strategies to support groups with low voting accessibility and to increase voter participation. Special leave will be granted to employees participating in election support.
Meanwhile, Seongbuk District will operate an emergency response team led by the deputy mayor on election day and during the surrounding period, maintaining real-time situation monitoring and close cooperation with related agencies. The district will also broadcast messages encouraging voting to 176 apartment complexes within its jurisdiction and plans to continue raising public interest and participation through ongoing announcements using administrative vehicles.
