KG Mobility Maintains Domestic Sales Growth for Fifth Consecutive Month in May

KG Mobility continued its upward trend for the fifth consecutive month by selling 3,560 units in the domestic market in May.

On June 2, KG Mobility announced that it sold a total of 9,100 units in May, with 3,560 units sold domestically and 5,540 units exported.

This global performance marks a recovery to the 9,000-unit level for the first time in two months since March. This represents an increase of 1.9% compared to the previous month and an 11.9% increase compared to the same month last year.

Domestic sales rose by 0.4% compared to the previous month, maintaining an upward trend for five consecutive months since January, driven by strong sales of models such as the Musso EV, which was launched in March.

Exports saw a significant increase, rising by 2.9% compared to the previous month and by 34.2% compared to the same month last year, as a result of strengthening its global market strategy, including the expansion of new product launches in overseas markets, which led to increased shipments to countries such as Australia, Hungary, and T?rkiye.

In particular, KGM is making every effort to boost global sales volumes by expanding new businesses, engaging in marketing activities tailored to each country, and pioneering new markets.

In early May, KGM signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Collingwood club, effective from this season through 2027, to strengthen its brand competitiveness in the Australian market. Collingwood is a prestigious club that holds a record-tying 16 championships in the AFL (Australian Football League) since its founding in 1892.

Additionally, KGM signed a Head of Agreement (HOA) with Indonesia's PT Pindad to expand business cooperation, including supplying Rexton KD units and collaborating on the Indonesia National Car Project and the local electric bus production project. The company also launched the Actyon in the Italian market under the KGM brand and held test drive events, further working to increase export volumes.

A KGM representative stated, "Both domestic and export sales have shown signs of recovery," and added, "We will continue to increase sales volumes by actively responding to the global market through various marketing strategies, such as new product launches in overseas markets, sponsorship agreements, and business expansion."
