Honam University announced on June 2 that the "Unification Lecture Program for University Students," led by Jiyeon Nam, a professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, has once again been selected for the second semester of this year. With this, the program has been chosen for the Ministry of Unification's Unification Lecture Program for nine consecutive semesters.
Among the 12 universities selected nationwide for this program, Professor Jiyeon Nam of the AI College of Liberal Arts is responsible for the course "Unified Korea and the Future." The course covers major unification-related issues such as international affairs, diplomacy, science, climate crisis, social welfare, marketing, and understanding of North Korean defectors. It is conducted through team teaching with leading unification experts and universities in Korea, including Kookmin University, Seoul National University, Korea Institute for National Unification, Changwon National University, and Konkuk University.
Professor Jiyeon Nam has been expanding students' consensus on unification each semester by providing high-quality unification content and experiential education based on government policy. She also emphasizes the vision and importance of Honam University's unique convergence-oriented unification leadership education model to unification experts in various fields.
