Celltrion Group announced on June 2 that the Celltrion Queens Masters, a Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour event, will be held for three days from June 6 to June 8 at Seongmunan Country Club (par 72, 6,494 yards) in Wonju, Gangwon Province.

A total of 120 players, including three amateur golfers who received special invitations, are expected to participate in the tournament. The winner's prize is set at 216 million won, and the total prize money amounts to 1.2 billion won.

The Celltrion Queens Masters began in 2019 and is being held for the sixth time this year, except for 2020 when it was canceled due to the impact of COVID-19. This year's tournament is held under the slogan "Beyond Limits, Toward Greatness," symbolizing Celltrion's leap forward and its aim for global excellence.

Various Programs Including 'Queens Cafe'

Celltrion Group has prepared a variety of events to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and to thank golf fans attending the tournament.

First, to show appreciation for the support of the gallery, the "Queens Cafe" will be set up, where players will personally serve coffee to the gallery. At the Gallery Plaza, a range of engaging activities will be held for golf fans visiting the course, including a contest to predict the winner, a local resident verification event, and the Celltrion Photo Challenge.

In addition, through the Celltrion Queens Masters Instagram, the "Queens Golf Camp & Escort Kids" program will be held for students selected in advance. Young students aspiring to become golf players will receive one-point golf lessons from KLPGA Tour pros during the tournament, and will also attend the awards ceremony on June 8, when the final third round takes place.

Plogging Event for Environment Day, ESG Boards Installed

Events reflecting ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) values have also been arranged. June 5, the tournament's official practice day, is designated as World Environment Day by the United Nations. On this day, Celltrion Group will hold a plogging event (plogging: picking up litter while walking) around the Wonju Enterprise City area to promote public awareness and the practice of environmental protection.

Additionally, boards highlighting Celltrion Group's ESG activities and values will be installed at each hole of the tournament. The boards at holes 9, 13, and 14 will feature the following: participation in the Ministry of Environment's "Bye Bye Plastic Challenge" relay campaign (Environmental); the "2025 Cell-Love Market" charity bazaar to improve medical conditions in Madagascar (Social); and messages about leading a transparent shareholder communication culture, strengthening systems, compliance education, and building a responsible governance culture (Governance).

At the tee box of the 9th hole, an experiential ESG program will be held as part of Celltrion Group's commitment to sustainable value. The "Queens Green" program will allow players to personally give gallery members eco-friendly diffusers, which have been upcycled from discarded vials, as green goods.

A Celltrion Group representative said, "The slogan for this year's tournament, 'Beyond Limits, Toward Greatness,' reflects both the past of Celltrion Group, which has grown through constant challenge over the past 20 years, and its future growth direction. We have prepared a variety of programs so that each and every visitor can create precious and meaningful memories, while wishing the best for the players' performances."
