Kiwoom Securities to Provide 200 Million KRW Support for Military Certification Acquisition in the Month of Patriots and Veterans

On June 2, Kiwoom Securities announced that it will cover the certification issuance fees for military-specialized qualifications for candidates hoping to become military officers, such as non-commissioned officers and commissioned officers, who are national public servants. The eligible certifications are Military Leadership Instructor, Military Psychological Counseling Instructor, and Military Life Respect Instructor. These are private military-specialized certifications officially registered with the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training and supervised by the Ministry of National Defense.

Future Development Institute, the certification issuing organization, will provide free educational content (worth 500,000 KRW per course), while Kiwoom Securities will match this by covering the certification issuance fee (90,000 KRW per course). The plan is to support up to 2,025 individuals (courses) over the next year. The total budget is approximately 200 million KRW.

Applications can be submitted through the Future Development Institute website, and support will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kiwoom Securities aims to help young job seekers achieve their valuable dreams through this certification issuance fee support and ultimately contribute to strengthening the military's competitiveness.

A representative from Kiwoom Securities stated, "We decided to support the issuance fees for military-specialized certifications to provide practical assistance to Generation Z who aspire to become future military officers," and added, "We will continue to engage in various activities to realize the value of sharing."

Kiwoom Securities is carrying out a variety of social contribution activities for young people. Through the Korea Student Aid Foundation's Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship, the company provides living expense scholarships to academically outstanding university students from underprivileged backgrounds. Since the beginning of this year, it has also been operating the 'Kiwoom Digital Academy,' a program that trains job seekers to become financial data analysis experts. In addition, in partnership with the interior platform 'Today’s House,' Kiwoom Securities is running a support project to improve living spaces for self-reliant young people.
