The Chungnam Office of Education announced that it operated the "2025 Chungnam Youth Literary Class," with more than 200 students from 64 schools participating. The program aimed to foster students' humanistic sensibility through literary creation activities based on student initiative.

The in-person program was divided into two regions. The first region was held at Deoksan High School in Yesan on May 24, and the second region took place at Handeulmulbit Middle School in Asan on May 31. During these sessions, students had valuable opportunities to meet and communicate directly with writers, enhancing their creative abilities.

The online program was conducted in real time on May 25, providing a broad learning platform that allowed students from across the province to participate easily. This approach received a positive response.

The literary class focused on various literary fields, including poetry and novels, essays and fairy tales, and scenarios and plays. On-site teachers and active writers collaborated to design customized programs that combined lectures with creative practice sessions.

In particular, this year's program was linked with the "9th Chungnam Youth Literature Award," providing students with opportunities to understand the direction of literary creation and gain confidence through actual creative experiences. The program has been positively evaluated in this regard.

The provincial office of education plans to guide students who have discovered the joy of creation through the literary class to further develop their dreams as aspiring writers by participating in various programs, such as online work guidance, submitting their works, growth classes, and participatory publication ceremonies.

Kim Ji-cheol, Superintendent of Education for Chungnam, stated, "The bright eyes of our youth, who are realizing their dreams through literature, truly represent our abundant future," and added, "We will continue to support humanities education so that our youth can turn their diverse dreams into reality based on today's successful creative experiences."
