On June 2, Incheon Yeonsu-gu announced that it has been operating the Vaccine Safe Vaccination Integrated Platform project since March, the first of its kind in Incheon, to protect the health and safety of residents.
This project uses comprehensive technologies, including a vaccine safety, tracking, and prediction system, to automatically provide vaccine recipients with information about the vaccines they are receiving via their smartphones.
After a recipient enters their personal information and generates a personal QR code, a nurse scans both the personal QR code and the vaccine QR code in succession, delivering vaccine information through voice and message notifications. In addition, after vaccination, recipients can check for adverse reactions or side effects through a self-assessment survey.
This project is expected to minimize potential errors that may occur at vaccination sites by providing vaccine information to both nurses and recipients prior to vaccination, and to improve operational efficiency through real-time vaccine inventory management.
An official from the Yeonsu-gu Public Health Center stated, "By proactively introducing a digital-based system, we will fulfill residents' right to know and provide advanced public health services," adding, "We will continue to create a vaccination environment where residents can feel safe and secure."
