On June 2, Commissioner Park Seongho participated in the "Relay Campaign to Raise Awareness of Population Issues," which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare.
This campaign has been conducted in a relay format by local governments, public institutions, and private companies since October of last year. Its purpose is to spread consensus on the worsening population crisis, such as low birth rates and an aging society, and to drive changes in public perception across society.
Commissioner Park joined the campaign after being nominated by Lee Yoonsang, President of the Gadukdo New Airport Construction Corporation. Park then nominated Kim Junghwan, President of Gyeongnam Technopark, and Lee Sutae, CEO of Panasia, as the next participants.
Commissioner Park stated, "Population issues are not the responsibility of a single organization, but a matter that the entire local community must consider together," adding, "The Authority will also actively participate in building policy consensus and taking practical action."
This campaign is expanding national consensus through both online promotion and on-site activities, as well as through the voluntary participation of organizations and groups.
