Woori Investment & Securities Launches ETF Trading Service for IRP Accounts

Full Waiver of ETF Trading Fees in IRP Accounts
Woori Investment & Securities Ranks First in Non-Principal-Guaranteed IRP Returns in Q1

On June 2, Woori Investment & Securities announced that it has expanded its system to allow trading of ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds) within individual retirement pension (IRP) accounts and has officially launched the service through its mobile trading system, 'WooriWON MTS.' With this update, customers can now freely combine deposits, funds, and ETFs within their IRP accounts, enabling asset allocation management tailored to their investment objectives.

Woori Investment & Securities IRP waives both asset management and operational management fees for all accounts and does not charge any additional fees for ETF transactions. For fund products, it applies low fees based on the S-Class standard, providing a structure advantageous for long-term compound investment.

Furthermore, under the 'Retirement Pension In-Kind Transfer System' implemented in October 2024, customers who transfer their accounts from other financial institutions while holding ETFs can continue to manage their existing ETFs, thereby enhancing investment continuity.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service Integrated Pension Portal, as of the first quarter of 2025, the non-principal-guaranteed return rate for IRP accounts at Woori Investment & Securities was 5.28%, ranking first among securities firms selling retirement pension products. The company has achieved the highest return rate in four out of the most recent five quarters and has maintained an annualized return rate of over 5% for eight consecutive quarters, demonstrating stable long-term performance. The company explained that these results are due to a diversified investment strategy focused on global growth assets and a low-cost operational structure designed for compound investment.

A representative from Woori Investment & Securities stated, "With the support for ETF trading, the investment flexibility and asset management efficiency of IRP accounts have been further enhanced," adding, "We plan to continue advancing our platform to provide substantial support for customers' long-term asset accumulation."
