Lee to Attend Cheonggyecheon Walking Event
Park Visits PK Region, Calls for Conservative Unity

On June 2, one day before the 21st presidential election, former Presidents Lee Myungbak and Park Geunhye will support Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate.
On this day, former President Lee is scheduled to visit Cheonggyecheon in Jung-gu, Seoul, to meet with citizens. At around 11:30 a.m., he will gather at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul, have lunch at a nearby restaurant, and then walk along Cheonggyecheon for about an hour starting from 12:20 p.m.
Approximately 10 key figures from the Lee Myungbak administration, including former Presidential Chief of Staff Chung Junggil and former Senior Civil Affairs Secretary Lee Jongchan, are expected to attend the event.
At the site, former President Lee is expected to express his support for candidate Kim and call for the unification of the conservative bloc. On May 27, during a meeting with candidate Kim, former President Lee encouraged him by saying, "(Candidate Kim) is a good candidate who understands both workers and businesses and has administrative experience, so the people will recognize him. I hope he will do his best until the end."
On the same day, former President Park Geunhye will visit the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Buul-Gyeong) region to campaign in support of candidate Kim.
Former President Park is scheduled to have tea and a meal at Beomeosa Temple in Busan at 11:00 a.m., visit Jangsaengpo Culture Complex in Ulsan at 2:00 p.m., and then visit Jinju Central Market in Gyeongnam at 5:00 p.m.
On May 31, former President Park visited Seomun Market in Daegu and said, "A few days ago, candidate Kim told me that many people wanted to see me when he campaigned in Dongseongno. That made me feel deeply moved."
On May 24, at her residence in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, former President Park also told candidate Kim, "There have been many issues within the party, but do not dwell on the past. Unite as one and make sure to win the election. If you campaign with sincerity, you will win. If you approach the people with authenticity, you will definitely win."
