Weekend Afternoons at the Park
A Healing Concert Enjoyed by Both Children and Adults
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held the "Visiting Park Healing Concert" at the Hoiyagangbyeon Park in Soju-dong in April and at Hwangsan Park in Mulgeum-eup in May.
This event was organized with the goal of bringing performances to parks with high foot traffic, allowing both children and adults to enjoy them together. On weekend afternoons, about 200 local residents gathered to watch the performances and spend a joyful leisure time.
This edition of the Visiting Healing Concert featured a variety of programs, including a magic show, bubble show, and dance performances, capturing the audience's attention. The colorful and fascinating spectacles drew laughter and exclamations from people of all ages.
With the conclusion of the second and final "Park" Healing Concert at Hwangsan Park, this particular series has ended. However, the Visiting Healing Concert series targeting "local commercial districts" will continue.
Linked with the ON Alley Festa organized by the Yangsan City Department of Public Livelihood and Economy, the "Visiting Local Commercial District Healing Concert" held its first event in March in the Obongcheongnyong-ro and Mokhwa-ro commercial areas. The city plans to select additional venues and schedules for the remaining events in the second half of this year.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "The purpose of the Healing Concert, which visits residents' living spaces such as parks and commercial districts, is to enhance daily satisfaction through accessible cultural and artistic experiences. I hope that residents will continue to show great interest in the small-scale performances held throughout Yangsan City."
