Hyundai Motor Securities Publishes "Carbon Finance Issue Report"

This report covers a wide range of topics, including market data such as emission allowance prices and trading volumes, changes in domestic and international policies, analysis of international case studies, and information on government support programs. The company explained that the report differentiates itself from those of other institutions by providing a systematic analysis of the carbon market from a financial institution's perspective, along with useful information and insights.

In particular, the expert insights section features a contribution from Jang Heesun, a professor at Korea University and a member of the 2050 Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth Commission. Professor Jang introduced the 4th Basic Plan for the Emissions Trading Scheme and Japan's GX (Green Transformation) promotion strategy, emphasizing the need for corporate support strategies to achieve carbon neutrality in Korea. As a special feature, the report also provides a comparative analysis of the climate and energy pledges of the 21st presidential election candidates, helping financial investors and corporate stakeholders to assess the potential market impact of policy changes in advance. In addition, the report contains detailed information on the latest guidelines for the Greenhouse Gas Target Management System, aimed at corporate managers responsible for carbon regulations.

A representative from Hyundai Motor Securities stated, "This report is significant in that it facilitates communication with market participants about the role and meaning of financial companies in the carbon market," adding, "We will continue to help market participants better understand carbon finance by providing high-quality content."

The report is available for download by anyone on the official Hyundai Motor Securities website.
