Joined KG F&B as COO Earlier This Year
On June 2, KG F&B, which operates the coffee franchise Hollys and the processed meat brand Measo, announced the appointment of Yoon Seokchan as its new CEO.
Yoon Seokchan is a management consulting expert who has worked at SK Teletech, Monitor Group, and T-Plus Consulting, and served as a partner at EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting division of EY Hanyoung. He has built his management expertise by providing strategic consulting for various food manufacturing and food service brands such as Daesang, Pulmuone, and Maeil Dairies, focusing on developing mid- to long-term growth models and business strategies.
Appointed as CEO on June 1, Yoon Seokchan joined KG F&B as COO earlier this year and has been dedicated to establishing future operational strategies for each brand under KG F&B. He is set to succeed former CEO Lee Jonghyun, who had focused on stabilizing the company and leading PMI (Post-Merger Integration) efforts following the merger.
Yoon Seokchan stated, "Last year, Hollys entered the Japanese market, and the brand will continue to deliver differentiated value in both Korea and Japan, while providing a unique customer experience by rapidly incorporating evolving digital technologies," adding, "The Fresh Division, which is expanding its processed meat business into various sectors, will focus on increasing production efficiency through facility expansion and enhancing competitiveness by improving manufacturing costs."
He continued, "With Measo, the flagship brand of the Fresh Division, we will also introduce new products that reflect changing food consumption trends and implement a variety of marketing activities."
Yoon further emphasized, "Following last year’s merger, KG F&B has strengthened its competitiveness and expanded its infrastructure, and is now on the verge of becoming a comprehensive food company. We will do our utmost to leverage the strengths of each KG F&B brand and create new growth engines for the company through innovation and synergy among the brands."
Meanwhile, KG F&B was launched as a comprehensive food company last year through the absorption-type merger of KG Hollys F&B and its subsidiary KG Fresh. The company operates Hollys, the first espresso coffee shop in Korea, which opened in 1998, and owns 20-year-old processed meat brands such as Measo, Hantbaker, and Yukpogongbang.
