The county announced on June 1 that, starting in June, it will offer a variety of discounts for tourists in a total of 14 categories, including accommodation, food and beverage, experiences, and shopping.

The Digital Tourism Resident Card Project is a strategic initiative by the Korea Tourism Organization to address the risks of local extinction and population decline. Tourists can receive a tourism resident card through the mobile application 'Korea Tour Card' and receive various benefits by scanning a QR code at participating merchants.

Through this project, Uiseong County aims not only to attract more tourists but also to promote longer stays and experiential tourism.

Specific benefits include, in the accommodation category: ▲Bangye Eoreumgol Campground (10% discount on weekdays), ▲Gounmaeul Campground (20% discount on weekdays), and ▲Minsanjeong and Nonbat-e (10% discount on weekdays for reservations of 10 people or more).

Participating food and beverage establishments include: ▲Gugyemilli (5% discount on beverages and bakery items), ▲Kkoti Sup-eul Iruda (5% discount on all menu items), and ▲Harim Brewing (5% discount on wine purchases).

In the shopping category, customers who spend over 30,000 won at the old local food direct market will receive a 10,000 won coupon that can be used at the 'Uiseong Market Day Shopping Mall.'

Additionally, major local tourist attractions and experience facilities such as ▲Wegari Ecological Center, ▲Pet World, ▲Jomunguk Museum Water Playground and Imagination Playground, and ▲Park Seosaeng and Cheongnyeon Tongsinsa Park will offer admission discounts ranging from 20% to 50%.

The county plans to continuously expand the number of participating merchants in the digital tourism resident card program to invigorate the local tourism industry as a whole.

Kim Jusu, Mayor of Uiseong County, stated, "This digital tourism resident card project will also greatly contribute to the recovery of the local economy, which has been stagnant due to wildfire damage." He added, "We are preparing to ensure that visiting Uiseong is not only a show of support and a donation to the region, but also an opportunity for tourists to enjoy a richer and more fulfilling trip."
